GenFly is a mobile-first social platform for AI-generated creativity. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use GenFly, why we collect it, and how we use it. By using our app or website, you agree to this policy.

What We Collect

We collect only what we need to run the platform.

• Account information: Name, username, email address, phone number, profile photo, and bio when you register.
• Content you post: Videos, images, captions, AI prompts, AI tool tags, and hashtags you upload.
• Engagement activity: Likes, comments, saves, shares, follows, and remixes.
• Usage data: How you use the app — features used, videos watched, search queries. This helps us improve GenFly.
• Device information: Device model, OS version, app version, and general location (city/country) from your IP address.

How We Use Your Data

• Running the platform: Creating your account, serving your feed, displaying your profile and posts to others.
• Personalising your feed: Showing AI content relevant to the tools you use and the creators you follow.
• Safety and moderation: Scanning uploads for content that violates our Community Guidelines before anything is published.
• Notifications: Alerting you to activity on your posts. You can turn off non-essential notifications any time.
• Improving GenFly: Understanding usage patterns to fix bugs and build better features.
• Marketplace transactions: Processing payments for prompt packs and creator subscriptions.

Your Content & Prompts

You own everything you create. When you upload to GenFly, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display your content within the platform only. We do not use your content for advertising and do not licence it to anyone else.

Your prompts belong to you. When you enable remix, others can build on your prompt — but you always receive credit in the remix chain. You can disable this at any time from your post settings.

Who We Share Data With

• Other GenFly users: Your public profile, posts, and prompts are visible to others as part of the social platform. You can set your account to private at any time.
• Service providers: Trusted vendors who help operate GenFly — including database hosting, video delivery, content moderation, and analytics. All are contractually bound to protect your data.
• Legal requirements: We will disclose data only if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

AI-Generated Content

All content on GenFly is understood to be AI-generated. By posting, you agree to:

• Tag your tool accurately — identify which AI tool created the content.
• No misleading use — do not post AI content designed to deceive people about real events or real people.
• No non-consensual deepfakes — AI-generated depictions of real, identifiable people without their consent are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account removal.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data. From your account settings you can:

• Access your data — view everything we hold about you.
• Correct your data — update your profile and account information at any time.
• Delete your account — permanently remove your account and all associated data. We process deletions within 30 days.
• Export your data — download a copy of your posts, prompts, and account data.
• Manage notifications — control all notification preferences from Settings.

Data Retention

• Account data: Kept for the lifetime of your account, deleted within 30 days of closure.
• Posts and content: Removed from our servers within 30 days of deletion.
• Analytics data: Retained in anonymised form for up to 24 months.
• Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by Indian financial regulations.

Child Safety Standards

GenFly is for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and if we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we remove it promptly.

GenFly strictly and explicitly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This includes, without limitation: child sexual abuse material (CSAM), whether real, illustrated, or AI-generated; any content that sexualises, endangers, or exploits a minor; grooming, solicitation, or attempts to contact or manipulate a minor; and any account, post, comment, or prompt that facilitates the above. Accounts responsible for CSAE are permanently banned the moment we become aware of them, and no appeal is available for confirmed violations.

Every post, comment, and profile in the GenFly app includes a Report option that lets any user — whether or not they have an account — flag content or behaviour immediately, with a dedicated "Child sexual abuse or exploitation" category. Reports that involve a child's safety are triaged and reviewed by our Trust & Safety team as the highest priority, ahead of all other report types.

• Immediate action: Content is removed and the associated account is suspended pending investigation.
• Permanent removal: Confirmed violators are permanently banned and all associated content is deleted from the platform.
• Evidence preservation: We preserve relevant evidence as required by law to support investigations.
• Mandatory reporting: Confirmed CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the relevant local law enforcement or child protection authority, in line with our legal obligations.

We comply with applicable child safety laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where GenFly operates, including maintaining a process to report confirmed CSAM to the relevant national or regional authority. We track guidance from child-safety bodies, including the Tech Coalition, to keep our standards and procedures current.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as GenFly grows. When we make meaningful changes, we will notify you via in-app notification and update the effective date above. Continuing to use GenFly after a change means you accept the updated policy.
